Contemporary music performed by the BERG Orchestra - premiere concert and opening event of the 25th anniversary season. The outstanding Polish pianist Piotr Orzechowski, also known as Pianohooligan, appears in the Czech Republic for the very first time. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music and winner of the Montreaux Jazz Solo Piano Competition, he will perform the Czech premiere of works written especially for him. His fingertips will sweep across the keyboard of an extraordinary instrument, the Wurlitzer analogue synthesizer. It will also be played by the young pianist Pavol Praženica, laureate of most Czech and many international competitions. The accompanying event offers interesting facts about analogue synthesizers.
